Fire Warden
A Fire Warden is a staff member within the workplace assigned the responsibility of dealing with fire-related emergencies.
Responisbilities
- Ensure all occupants are aware of the Emergency Response Procedures.
- Ensure personal ECO idenfication is available.
- Attend training and exercises as required.
- Operate the intercommunication system.
- Check to ensure fire and smoke doors are properly closed.
- Search the floor or area to ensure all persons have been evacuated.
- Ensure orderly flow of persons into protected areas i.e. stairwells.
- Assist persons with a disability or elderly.
- Report to the Floor/Area Warden on completion of evacuation.
